I am very excited to announce the airing of A Thousand Words or Less: The Podcast to take place in JANUARY 2021!

I know it is only currently Thanksgiving, but January will be here before you know it. So with that in mind, I want to put out in the universe the call for the following persons open to being interviewed for the month of January. Every week separate from the podcast itself will be a virtual interview speaking with someone discussing a topic from that week’s podcast. All interviews will air on ATWOL for our community’s listening pleasure, so make sure you follow us on Instagram to stay up to date! Poets Wanted!

Hello Community!

And, a special HELLO to all my fellow writers, authors, poets, and anyone who appreciates the art of spoken word!

Within this project, I am looking to take a moment during each podcast to end with an original spoken art work from an artist. While we want to have Baltimore shine a light on its artists, spoken word artists from cities beyond are more than welcome.

Having your work aired can happen one of two ways: (1) You send in a pre-recorded file of your poem; or (2) You send a copy of your work and I read it on air .

You might ask if there is a preference, and YES! There is! It is so necessary and so important that an artist reads their own work as no one can breathe life into a work the same way the original artist would. I want to hear from you!

A Peek Into ATWOL…

Hello Community!

Quarantine changed everything. As months passed, like many, I began to see myself completely different. For the first time in years, I experienced mental distresses at a new high. I realized I was in trouble in major areas of my life because I never properly dealt with my past.

And, thus, this new life of quarantine finally showed its silver lining. With the help of a new therapist to improve my mental state, some time off work, and support from loved ones, I begin a new journey.

It is a journey to a new inner person, an opportunity to allow new breath, new life, new experiences, and new knowledge to enter a welcoming, embracing space for safe mental, emotional, spiritual, and physical growth.

There are no limits to success except for the ones we ourselves create. With the right focus, we can reach all new heights together. I invite you to join me on this journey where we will take care of each other to enter each of our own next lives, whatever they may be.
